When it comes to custom guitars, we at Pederson Custom Guitars (formerly Abyss Guitar Company) believe we are the place where art and guitars merge. Using nature's private stock, our designs and great quality, we feel we offer something distinctive to the discerning guitar collectors and players of this world.

We don’t claim to have reinvented the wheel, just improved what we can by our designs and production techniques. For instance, by using a neck through design in our solid body guitars, we have eliminated a large amount of the heel. Utilizing this construction we minimize the effort it takes to play in the upper fret regions but maximize the tone and sustain of the guitar. Another example would be the acoustic construction techniques used in our archtop Hollow Body guitars. We achieve our results by bending the sides separately in a hollow form and then attaching a hand carved top and back plate. A further example of fusing art and guitars would be the Limited Editions and the Presentation Elect guitars that we construct. They have great inlays, excellent woods and are superior guitars to play and hear.

The nature of this business is custom building and I feel it is important to develop a relationship with the customer to make certain you get what you want. When it comes to sending guitars out to customers, I only want to send the best I can. My ambition is to build some of the finest guitars in the world! I have set out to separate myself from other builders through my personal designs and unique instrument construction. Of all the particular designs here, I have chosen to keep certain classic elements, yet explore and conquer new and exciting concepts, in the process creating several pleasing instrument designs to choose from.
